If you are
looking for a boat show condition “like new” boat “My Muse” is not for you.
The systems
and integrity of the construction of “My Muse is excellent- as good, if not
better than the day she was launched. The rigging is in good condition and
there is absolutely no sign of osmosis. However “My Muse” is 20 yrs old with the
wear and tear expected on a vessel her age. The gel coat is faded in places and
there is a little surface spider cracking.
The sheets are faded after 5yrs at sea. Inside, the woodwork could do with new
varnish and the vinyl flooring has signs of wear.
Can she be
brought up to like new? Absolutely! Does she have to be brought up like new to
go offshore? Absolutely not!
